![]() ![]() I read the preview for her next story, Olivia and Nate, and I am looking forward to it, but I will prefer if she takes the time and continues her work to be like it was in "On Dublin Street" and "Down London Road " I know that if you like, let along love the first two novels, you have to read this one, and its ok, is part of the grand story.īut this is not her best work, this falls short from what we have seen her do in other books. I finished reading the book in a couple of hours, very short. *spoiler alert*, there is nothing we don't know or we expect in this book. Based on her style in her first two books I felt that these two characters (Ellie and Adam) where simplified just to write a story everybody wanted to hear without the depth and character development that made the first two novels such a thrill to read. She let us believe in her first book that there was so much more to Ellie and Adam. Young knows how to tell a story, but in Ellie's story the most important parts where just a repetition of what was already told on "On Dublin Street". Unfortunately, unlike her first two novels, this one felt short on the expectation. I was not disappointed with "Down London Road", therefore I was looking forward to Ellie's story. I read "On Dublin Street", fell in love with Joss and Ellie. Young "on Dublin Street" and "Down London Road" and was pleasantly surprise by the way she developed the stories while defining very interesting, complex and strong characters. I liked this book and as part of the story that begins in "On Dublin Street", I was looking forward to it. I have been tempted to write a book review several times before, however I decided against it believing that my opinion would have not change anybody's decision. I can't ask for much more than that in a romance. In the end, I finished reading with a smile on my face. If there is no struggle or strife than there wouldn't be a story! ![]() We just have to get past that to get to the HEA. But as usually happens in fiction, true love doesn't run smooth. Also, at times you want to grab both of the characters-mainly Adam-and shake them. ![]() It was just a device to tell us the story and it totally worked for me. Told by the use of diaries, at times you stop and realize the entries sure don't sound like a diary, but you know what? It didn't even matter. ![]() With this book, we learn all the events that we were not privy to while reading book one. The reader knows that Adam and Ellie are wanting each other throughout that book even though they aren't the main characters. Of course, the characters are introduced in that one. Most of the action takes place in the same timeframe as book one, On Dublin Street. I love the series so I enjoyed this very short read. If not, the book probably wouldn't make a lot of sense. If you are reading this series this book is a good addition to the series. ![]()
